HarvestJobs.us : 2021 Update

We are realists. We knew the Farm Labor situation was too wrecked for any one man to solve the problem in a year or even several. That’s why our SYSTEM was built to progressively get SMARTER OVER TIME, weeding out the bad eggs so that the labor pool can eventually become a quality competitive workforce again. It’s literally been decades since that last happened. Right now most of the harvesters are literally asking for a walking, breathing individual who can drive. It is sad that the American Farm Labor Pool had become so incapable of fulfilling the need of our Custom Harvesters. Without a long term commitment to improve this pool, the same dead-beats end up making their rounds.

If you signed up for our service and did not receive what you had hoped for amidst last year’s pandemic, the service is on us this year (you will not pay again for what you did not receive). THE HALES are the sole owners of this technology and no longer associated with the VanPelt’s in any way. Unfortunately, they left us on May 29, 2020 with client data and company funds and started their own company under a different, but very similar name. We hope our harvester friends can avoid being taken advantage of by fly-by-night companies that promise things that we all know from experience, they cannot deliver on.

It’s a huge job to clean up this mess and we understand it’s long term. So how are we determined to help the American Employment Crisis on the Harvest?


A Lifetime of Agricultural Experience (we’re not just techies in a box)

Experience is very important in finding the right candidates who are both capable and committed, but also in knowing the ins and outs of all the various forms of advertising. We have a lot of experience on our side with the Hale family and the resources they bring from their three businesses; Hale Broadcasting (Radio and Podcast Networks), Hale Multimedia (Websites, Social Media, Print), and AgSearch.us (Ag Search Engine).

Howard Hale is a big part of our success due to his incredible radio network that has been broadcasting his three feature programs, including the Harvest USA Report since 1994. In 2013, the U.S. Custom Harvesters, Inc inducted Howard into their Hall of Fame for his many years of harvest reports and faithful support of the organization. Since joining forces in 1998, Howard has shared his Radio time with son Brian Hale and his wife Andi for many of their agricultural projects like AgMarketOnline, AgSearch and now HarvestJobs. This gesture equates to exposure on 20+ of the best rural radio stations every single weekday throughout Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico.

Not only do we have lifetime of agricultural experience with Howard Hale, but we also have Brian Hale, a 40+year computer programmer building our own proprietary software that will drive our SmartMatch Technology.

Brian Hale has been programming computers since 1978 and formed Hale Multimedia in 1998.

Howard has been the voice of the harvesters for decades and Brian has attended several Conventions over the years. We’ve all been listening to the Custom Harvesters talk on the Harvest Report for many years. We’ve been listening to your concerns for a long time. Now that we are able to do something, experience is definitely on our side.

With this new technology installed on HarvestJobs.us, Employers can now login for full access to all our pre-qualified candidates with the ability to view their applications and contact them and even keep notes on the interview. There is no limit to the number of candidates one can interview and employers are only limited to hiring the number of positions they paid for.

Never Give Up Attitude

Things happen. Life happens. Life is not fair. Get over it and drive on! We are not ones to sit around and worry or overreact. Steady and committed to finishing the job.

We all know the American Farm Labor situation has only gotten worse and without a system and a long term commitment to improve this pool, the same dead-beats end up making their rounds. Our system won’t quit searching for NEW applicants and WEEDING OUT the bad ones, improving the pool constantly based on feedback from the employers. If we allow the system to work, it is our only chance to improve this pool, in our opinion. THAT is why we allowed our former partners an opportunity for a business together and even offered the whole thing to them, but they opted to do their own thing. Without a system, you’re spinning your wheels in the mud.

Steady and committed to finishing the job. We do not hide or try to recreate ourselves. We adhere to Admiral William H. McCraven’s rule #8. “Step up when times are toughest” or “Be your very best in your darkest moments”.
