Jan. 6 footage creates legal headache for DOJ

A lawyer representing one of five Proud Boys members on trial for seditious conspiracy referenced Carlson’s showcase on Thursday, saying the tapes offered to the commentator by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) prove federal prosecutors hid “plainly exculpatory” Capitol security footage.

The court filing is the latest of several requests for a mistrial from attorneys representing the five Proud Boys, who have repeatedly accused the government of wrongdoing. All their previous requests have been denied by U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly, an appointee of former President Donald Trump.

Then on Mar 7, 2023, Tucker responded to everyone trying to paint him as the liar, not them. He delves deeper into new footage from the January 6 Capitol breach and the outrage from lawmakers over its release on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight.’

That same evening, Kentucky Republican Rep. Thomas Massie gave his take on the previously unseen video of the January 6 Capitol breach on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight.’ Of course, YouTube had to put their “disclaimer” on this video. Good grief!

On Mar 9, 2023, Tucker Carlson tells Glenn that the American people deserve better. It’s CLEAR the U.S. government is lying about something concerning January 6th, 2021, and the video footage Tucker has unveiled proves it. ‘I know deception when I see it,’ he says, ‘& they’re ALL lying.’

Tucker explains why these lies aren’t about power or politics, but they’re about dignity and self-respect instead. He details major consequences facing Americans due to these lies, and he reveals whether others in the mainstream media have reached out to him for access to the footage as well
