SCOTUS Opinion Leek causing an uproar
At May 5th’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed the leak of Samuel Alito’s draft opinion and guessed who he thinks the leaker is. Cruz is a pro-life conservative and voices support for the opinion, calling it a “incredible vindication for democracy.” He also decried it’s leak, saying it was the most egregious violation of trust at the Supreme Court.
Senator Lee responds to personal attack on Justices
Senator Lee addresses the lack of respect shown the Supreme Court when their decision didn’t follow their party lines. Here is his response to Sen. Leahy and Sen. Durbin.
There is NO WAY that anyone who is actually being intellectually honest with themselves could possibly refute the accuracy of this presentation. Ending Roe v. Wade DOES NOT outlaw abortion. It will give the right back to the states to pass their own abortion laws, or none at all. Once the creation of these laws goes back to the states, the states are controlled by the voting public.
