Final Words About Slaying Dragons
Your great confidence should be in this—no matter what you face, the great dragon slayer Himself is at your side, teaching you to fight and backing you up at every turn. In the end He is the One who will deal the fatal blow to the dragon and crush Satan under your feet. (See Romans 16:20)
Ephesians 6:18 teaches us that we are supposed to have each other’s backs. We are supposed to be praying for each other and looking out for each other. This is part of the armor God intended. None of us are intended to go into battle alone. We need our brothers and sisters.
There are two important takeaways from this. First, it is important that you are plugged in to a spiritual community. You need the support, accountability, and love of the body of Christ. You need to be submitted in love to your spiritual family and be loyal to them.
The second takeaway is this: make sure you are looking out for your brothers and sisters in Christ the way you want them to look out for you. Fight for your spiritual family. Be loyal to them. Be generous, be kind, be patient, and above all be loving.
Life is difficult, and we know that in this world we will have trouble— Jesus assured us of it. But He also told us we can be of good cheer because He has already overcome the world (John 16:33). Sometimes you will be wounded. You might even lose battles from time to time. That is the nature of war. But the prize goes not to the one who fights perfectly but to the one who keeps fighting.

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Romans 16:20
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints
