God Wants Us To Know His Will

How do we properly discern and interpret the direction that we are to go in, the people whom we are to be surrounded by, and the adventures that we are to embark on? We must begin to answer this question with one basic premise: God wants us to know His will more than we want to know it! He is not withholding information or guidance from us. In fact, He has provided multiple platforms upon which to communicate His desires for our lives.

Religious spirits have enforced a false image of God as a distant being, someone who is far off, shrouded in mystery, and far too advanced for simple human beings to understand. Embracing this false thinking about the Lord makes it difficult for us to believe God for direction and receive His leading. The heart of God throughout the ages has always been to draw us, His beloved, close to Him! In fact, all throughout Scripture He communicates His willingness to be near to us in all seasons.

It is time to change our thinking, renew our minds, and break the lie that God is distant. He is right here! Our loving Father has an abundance of wisdom and guidance for us.

I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,
