Russia (The Book of Signs, Ch. 3)

The third international sign is set in Russia. There is evidence that, at some point, Russia will ignight the world war like none other. Russia’s aggressive moves today cast a long shadow into a future described by the prophet Ezekiel.

Approximately 2500 years ago, Ezekiel predicted Russia’s return to power in the latter days. They will be the aggressor, form an alliance with 9 other nations and attack Israel and it’s allies.

• Rosh – Russia
• Magog – the ‘stan’ countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan) of Islam.
• Meshech and Tubal – Moscow and Tobolsk or possibly territories in Turkey
• Persia – Iran
• Ethiopia – Sudan
• Libya – still called Libya
• Gomer – Germany
• Togarmah – Turkey or possibly Turkestan

But in the end, there will be annihilation and God’s supernatural intervention to protect Israel and bring judgement on the Russian coalition. It will be a grisly testament to the ignoble end of those who defy God.

The whole world will marvel at how God brings down a powerful enemy while preserving His people. We see growing disorder now and chaos ahead, but godless Russia is no match for the King of kings.
