America (The Book of Signs, Ch. 5)

by Dr. David Jeremiah

America is the fifth international sign. Although America is not directly referenced in the bible, it seems clear that God does have a plan for her. But why has God blessed this nation? Some reasons we see God’s favor is :

• America has been the force behind world missions
• America has been a friend to the Jewish people
• America has been a free nation
• America was founded on God and His Word

But in the future, the Bible will be silenced in America. Here are some possible explanations for it.

• America will be incorporated into the European coalition
• America will be invaded by outside forces
• America will be infected with moral decay
• America will be impotent because of the rapture

At the time of the Rapture, America as we know it could be obliterated. Can you imagine the chaos when all the godly people disappear, leaving only those who have rejected God?

But out trust has never been in governments, civilizations or cultures. These institutions are helpful while they are hear, but they have never been worthy of our trust. Only God is worthy of our ultimate allegiance.
