The Resurrection – The Great Disappearance Ch 7

Modern science is filled with wonders, but there are many things even the most eminent scientist don’t fully understand, like butterflies.

Listen in as we read chapter 7 of The Great Disappearance by Dr. David Jeremiah.

Biologists Bernd Heinrich caused a stir in the entomological community by suggesting caterpillars and butterflies are actually tow separate organisms. According to this theory, a caterpillar is born, lives a normal life, and then enters its cocoon as a kind of grave. It’s body decomposes. Most of its cells literally die.

Heinrich refers to this stage as a “deathlike intermission.”

Then comes a kind of genesis. New cells are creted seemingly out of nothing. New organs begin to function as a new organism emerges from the grave. According to Heinrigh, “Most of one body dies, and the new life is resurrected in a new body.”

We don’t know if D. Heinrich’s hypothesis is correct. But we do know butterflies have been associated with Easter for centuries. They are living, fluttering reflections of resurrection.

We’ve seen already in these pages that the Rapture will begin with the audible return of Jesus. Accompanied by the voice of the archangel and a divine trumpet call, our Savior will step back into our atmosphere with a shout of command: “COME FORTH!”

It’s Jesus’ return that will commence the next phase of the Rapture: the resurrection.
