Gangs are upsetting order in Port-au-Prince, Haiti seizing control of the capital city’s main port, breaking prisons open, forcing international airports to shut down, setting fire to police stations and storming the national palace. The Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry announced his resignation on Tuesday after the gangs demanded he do so.
Amid the rise of ‘Barbecue’, a video has emerged that shows a member of a ‘cannibal’ gang eating human body parts. The video on X shows a Haitian man tearing flesh from the leg of a burning corpse and eating it.
Except there’s just one problem: the video is not from Haiti’s current phase of violence. Although it is possible that this incident took place in Haiti, I reverse-image-searched the video and found it posted in a Telegram channel in August 2023, long before this phase of violence began at the end of February.

March 10, 2004 – On Sunday, the US announced that troops had evacuated Americans from the US Embassy and additional forces were brought in to secure the diplomatic compound in Port-au-Prince.
Jimmy ‘Barbecue’ Chérizier, leader of the notorious “G9 and Family” gang commands the gunmen on the streets of the capital.

A former Haitian national policeman, Cherizier was expelled from the force in 2018 for ties to a number of horrific crimes, including the slaughter in the La Saline slums in which 71 people were killed, seven women were raped and 400 homes were burned down, according to official reports.
American Missionaries Whom Joe Biden Abandoned in Haiti Plead for Rescue
March 12, 2004 – American missionaries trapped in Haiti pleaded for rescue on Tuesday, reporting constant gunfire around their hideaway and corpses rotting in the streets. The group’s leader said the only assistance they have received from the Biden administration was advice to “be safe.”
Florida Republican, Rep. Cory Mills, was able to evacuate ten Americans from an orphanage in Port-au-Prince on Monday night.
This mission reiterates a disturbing reality under President Biden’s leadership: American lives are continually jeopardized. I have led missions to rescue Americans multiple times when Joe Biden has deserted them. There’s a clear pattern of abandonment. Yet again, this group was left behind by Biden and his State Department after requesting their help in country.

Pentagon sends anti-terrorism Marines to Haiti to beef up U.S. embassy security
March 13, 2004 – The elite Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team (F.A.S.T) was sent in as bedlam continued and after top gang leader Jimmy ‘Barbecue’ Cherizier called for a ‘bloody revolution’. FAST along with Rep Cory Mills evacuated 10 U.S. citizens who were working at the Have Faith Orphanage at Port-au-Prince.
Ariel Henry stepped down as prime minister on Tuesday as the Caribbean nation was pushed to the brink of civil war and bodies were left strewn in the streets.

On Wednesday, the European Union said it is sending humanitarian aid worth 20 million euros ($21.8 million) to Haiti. And $150 million from the US?
The Effect On Our Border
The streets of Port-au-Prince are a danger zone, and the average citizen there is looking to escape. I can understand wanting to remove yourself from this unrest. There is growing concern of a mass migration over see to Florida. Many are painting these potential illegals as the gang members that were released from the Haiti jails. I am sure that the people headed this way are a combination of both.
Gov. DeSantis Deploys State Guard to Stop Flood of Illegal Migrants Fleeing Haiti’s ‘Bloody Revolution’
For quite some time, the State of Florida has been dedicating significant resources to combat illegal vessels coming to Florida from countries such as Haiti. Given the circumstances in Haiti, I have directed the Division of Emergency Management, the Florida State Guard, and state law enforcement agencies to deploy over 250 additional officers and soldiers and over a dozen air and seacraft to the southern coast of Florida to protect our state. No state has done more to supplement the (under-resourced) U.S. Coast Guard’s interdiction efforts; we cannot have illegal aliens coming to Florida.
Illegal immigrants feel empowered to enter the sovereign territory of the United States because of the federal government’s refusal to diligently enforce our immigration laws and protect the integrity of the border. When a state faces the possibility of invasion, it has the right and duty to defend its territory and people. Under Gov. Ron DeSantis, Florida will act.

The main point here is not that they are all ‘bad people’ but that the Haitians ultimately will populate an already overcrowded Little Haiti. Florida’s resources are already stretched too thin.
Biden administration ‘considering using Guantanamo Bay for Haitian migrants
The White House is discussing the plans amid fears thousands could try and reach the U.S. to escape the Caribbean nation on the brink of collapse. Haitians would be processed on the base 200 miles from Haiti in a center separate to Camp X, where terrorist suspects are held, CNN reported.
The Department of Homeland Security says migration from the island being overtaken by gangs is so far low. But there are concerns hoards could get on boats to try and make the crossing to Florida.
A Look Back
So where did this all start? Why has Haiti been so volatile for so long? There are several reasons, but have you heard of the CORE group? It’s made of foriegn entities that many Haitians claim are pulling the strings of the country. Somewhat like the Deep State is to the US.
The Core Group was established by U.N. Security Council resolution S/RES/1542. It is chaired by the U.N. Special Representative to Haiti, and also includes representatives from Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, the European Union, the United States, and the Organization of American States.
Just like Jesse said, Haiti has been under the thumb of foriegn powers since the 1700’s, but my eyes were open to the corruption right after the earthquake when the Clintons were ‘on mission’ to rebuild the tiny country.
