State Champions Again

(KEARNEY, Neb) — The Gering Bulldog Speech Team has once again clinched the prestigious title of Class B State Speech Champions, marking their second consecutive victory in this highly competitive arena.

Under the guidance of their esteemed coaches Tyler Thompson, Jenn Dillinger and John Boyd, the Gering Bulldogs had 12 entries roll into finals after initial rounds, the most in Class B.

This back-to-back victory of the Gering Bulldogs reaffirms their status as a powerhouse in the realm of speech, reflecting not only their individual prowess but also the collective strength of their program. Medalists, including an individual State Champion, include:

• State Champion – Persuasive, Natalie Peterson!
• 2nd Place – Informative, Aphia Boyd
• 3rd Place – Persuasive, Mason Barrett
• 4th Place – Informative, Mason Barrett
• 4th Place – Extemporaneous, Guri Hayer
• 4th Place – Serious, Aphia Boyd
• 4th Place – OID, Gavin De Los Santos, Thomas Cannot, Zephaniah Henderson, Dominic Marostica and Aphia Boyd
• 5th Place – Extemporaneous, Natalie Peterson
• 5th Place – Humorous, Gavin De Los Santos
• 6th Place – Humorous, Rachel Boyd
• 6th Place – Duet, John Coakley and Mason Barrett
• 6th Place – OID, Zach Cannot, Lily Kadolph, Sam Martindale, Rachel Boyd and John Coakley
