One Controlled, One Lightning
(TORRINGTON, Wyo.) — Monday afternoon, TVFD responded to County Road 76 for a controlled burn that had gotten a little bit out of control. Command, Rural 3, 12, 14, and Engine 5 responded with 8 firefighters.
A short time after TVFD firefighters responded south on Highway 85 in between County Road 52 and 56 for a grass fire that was started by lightning, spotted by a citizen on the highway. Mother nature had complete and total control from start to finish. Started by lightning, put out by the rain! Command, Rural 12 and 14 responded with 5 firefighters.
