Applying Joseph’s Example – Total Forgiveness Ch 2.2

Last time we talked about how Joseph’s actions toward his brothers demonstrated total forgiveness. So what lessons about total forgiveness can the example of Joseph teach us?

Do not let anyone know what someone said about you or did to you?

It is as though our sins don’t exsist anymore – they are gone, gone, gone, gone.

It is comforting to know that God freely and totally forgives all of our sins and will never tell what He knows.

Do not allow anyone to be afraid of you or intimidated by you.

Once He has forgiven us, God does not want us to be afraid of Him.

We will want them to forgive themselves and not feel guilty.

Forgiveness is worthless to us emotionally if we can’t forgive ourselves.
