By Brian Hale

Missing from Crofton, Nebraska

*** FOUND SAFE ***
Knox County News delivered the good news today. Holden Duncan has been located.

They wrote, “FOUND SAFE! Holden Duncan of Crofton – missing since Monday – has reportedly been found safe, according to law enforcement. Thank you to everyone for searching and for praying for his safe return!”

On October 24, 2024 at approximately 11:10 AM the Knox County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a local farmer approximately 5 miles north of Crofton Nebraska.

The farmer informed Sheriff’s Office that he had found Holden (Duncan) Ouding hiding in a shelter belt. The local farmer fixed Holden a sandwich to eat.

Law-enforcement arrived at the location and took Holden into protective custody. The plan from here is to finish the investigation.

(We will) make sure that Holden is medically stable and good to go home and reunite Holden with his family as soon as possible today yet. The number of agencies and volunteers involved in searching are way too numerous to identify everybody at this time.

The Knox County Sheriff office would like to say “Thank you” to everybody that participated in the search over the days and will release as accurate a list of who all participated as we can later this week or first part of next week.

I’m sure the family would agree. The main thing is Holden was found, is safe, and going home.

Knox County Sheriff
