Yeah, there’s this water laying everywhere from, you know, being in our last job in my circle, Montana, seeing hardly no rain, and just dust conditions, to ducks and geese swimming around everywhere in the fields.

Ducks unlimited is not a good term here. So at 26 inches, that’s about four years of rain for us. Yeah, really a lot, yeah.

And I think even here, I think we’re probably, I’m not exactly sure to tally, but I’m pretty sure we gotta be in the 15 plus inches of rain here, and then here in the last probably week and a half, there was no, it stopped for a spell, probably maybe a month. There kind of all of a sudden it got dry, like so fast, it was raining, raining, then it just stopped, got hot dry, kind of cooked the crops a bit, right at the wrong time, and then now it started raining again, where everybody’s ready to start going to the field, and I was talking to a salesman at the John Deere shop the other day, and he kind of estimated like maybe 10% of the crop was, you know, harvested in the whole area here. It should be like, what, 50? Yeah, it should be at least, getting close to the 50, if not 50%, kind of done.

A lot of guys are still struggling trying to get their pulse crops off of lentils. I was talking to another farmer here, he had some friends up by, I think north of Saskatoon, somewhere up in there, maybe towards North Battleford, they had a couple thousand acres of lentils to go, and they’re just like pasted against the ground with all this rain, so they’re, everybody’s pulling their hair out.
