Minatare City Clerk Carolyn Nelson

Carolyn has faithfully served the City of Minatare, Nebraska for 40 years.

I started in May of 1982 and have worked with eleven Mayors. When I started working for the City there were the following businesses: Post Office, two bars, grocery store, K N Energy gas company office, N.P.P.D. electrical office, Platte Valley Bank, Auction House, Barber Shop, two beauty salons, Midwest PMS, Gas station, automotive repair shop, Welding shop, and more.

The thing I like most about my job is to work with the citizens of Minatare. They are a great bunch of people and I consider all of them my friends and love them all. I am so proud to have been part of the construction of the new sewer system, new water system and now the construction of the Dollar General Store. Minatare is a great small town, everyone is friendly and not afraid to speak to you and converse on the street.
