Fire reported at the Sugar Factory
The small fire in some insulation was put out before the fire department arrived.
We are getting reports of the Sugar Factory on fire in Scottsbluff. Please stay clear while we seek further information. – posted by sbcoscanner 23 minutes after the call {1756 hours or 5:56 pm mst) after verifying the source, and giving first responders time to secure the scene.
An update was posted by the Rural Fire Department shortly after 6 pm.
At 17:33 Scottsbluff Rural Fire Protection District was paged to a possible fire at Western Sugar. Upon arrival, it was reported to Scottsbluff Rural Fire Chief, Carissa Schank, that a small fire in some insulation of a building that is being repaired had already been extinguished. Firefighters ensured everything was extinguished and all units cleared scene at 18:03.

Shortly after posting this photo and message from a scanner follower, these two dogs and their owner were reunited… and it feels so good!
