Tractor Fire Victims Thankful
The Tractor Fire we reported on ended up being some good friends of ours going back 40 years. Chad and Pam Conklin’s place is where it happened. We were so relieved to see Pam’s post.

Pam wrote, “Thank you to our wonderful neighbors who came to help with our tractor fires or just to be at our side for support. So many asked what they could do, which being there was everything. Even offering to get Chads shoes. Lol. Thanks to the ones who grabbed extinguishers and jumped in and helped. To all the Fitts and Bairds who came and tried doing all they could and along with Chad and AJ, they succeeded. Vance and Dan worked hard getting other equipment out of the way, along with the Bairds and them getting fire extinguishers out. Also, the support of Kevin Batt ( which was his birthday), the Grote’s, and Lindsey. Finally, the Bayard, Minatare/Melbeta, and Bridgeport firemen and women made it. I guess GPS or whatever confused them all. After being very shook up and calling 911 three times they all came 45 minutes later, but was appreciated very much. It’s so wonderful how your friends come a running when needed. We are so blessed it only destroyed tractors and didn’t continue to our shop or house. God has a better plan than us, and we will move on. Prayers no one else got the smoke in their lungs like us, and thanks again for everything. Hope I didn’t miss anyone. It was crazy. Thank you for all the phone calls too. We Love our neighbors.”

Now that’s an All-Star lineup of neighbors. I hope we can all learn from their example.
