We heard from the sugar factory today which prompted us to post this article for your entertainment.

This is our post today after being notified by the factory.

There will be loud noises coming from the factory.

So, WHY do they shoot off the cannons?

Answer to our question below : “It is a propane cannon to scare off the birds so they don’t have fecal matter in the water.”

Western Sugar has notified us that they have started the propane cannon on the water ponds to keep the geese off them to control fecal.

They will run the propane cannon from sun up to sunset. The loud sounds will likely be heard every 30 minutes.
