Forecast From Space!

By NWS Cheyenne

🛰️ 9:45AM 12/26 – Storm Update from space!

⚠️ We had a relative lull this morning due to dry air being sucked into the storm, but don’t be fooled! More moisture (white colors on this satellite image) is now being wrapped in to the storm, pushing across our area from northeast to southwest.

Expect snow showers to fill in once again over the next few hours with very strong winds ongoing. Winds will let up slightly this afternoon, but expect continued blowing and drifting snow in areas that received new snow.

This image shows atmospheric water vapor across the area. Oranges and reds indicate dry air, while grays, whites, and blues indicate moist air.
