FBI, NSP and Local Agencies Arrest over 50 in Major Operation

We all know that Nebraska has had a drug trafficking problem for some time. Methamphetamine has become the states’ drug of choice. But drugs don’t only affect the big city. We believe that until they clean up the smaller towns, the problem will continue.

Recently, the FBI, The Nebraska State Patrol and several local agencies worked together to do just that. Law enforcement officers are reporting that nearly thirty people were arrested yesterday, for a total of over fifty arrests during this operation, many of them from smaller communities like Brule, Ogallala and North Platte.

Tremendous cooperation was accomplished in the mission that had been ongoing for sometime. Law enforcement officials emphasized that this was not an overnight affair. This took long hours with several agencies working overtime.
