Pine Bluffs K9 Program

(PINE BLUFFS, Wyo.) — An exciting and highly anticipated announcement was made by the Pine Bluffs Chief of Police Austin Smith on Tuesday.

Chief Smith writes,

“First, I would like to thank the Town Council for the support for the newest member of our team.”

Meet K9 Macklin, a 2yr old German Shepherd trained in the detention of narcotics as well as tracking. Macklin is NOT a “bite dog” and it is important that the public knows that. K9 Macklin will be teamed up with Officer Miller, and we are excited to see them make an impact keeping Pine Bluffs a safe place to live.

This is not possible without the support of Ragnar Defense (out of Casper, Wyoming) who decided to donate Macklin to the Town!

Having a K9 comes with a lot of expenses, and we are looking for donations to help ease the impact on the budget. We have already received support and donations from members of the community, and we are thankful for the support! Please don’t hesitate to call with any questions. (307) 245-3084

Last, I want to commend Sgt. Kemp, who started looking for K9 programs and never gave up. It is his persistence that led us to our partnership with Ragnar Defense.

Thank You Pine Bluffs, for your support!

– Chief Austin Smith
