February 29, 2024 was the last day of the 82 year history of Panhandle Coop Association and a new era of Legacy Coop began March 1.
Legacy Cooperative is the result of a merger between Panhandle Coop and Farmers Coop.
Coop asked their followers: What are some of your memories of Panhandle Coop? Let us know! The responses reflect the legacy that Panhandle Coop left over the years.
Too many to even begin to list, but the people Bob and I met in the 41 1/2 years he worked there were wonderful!!!

Sacking groceries, favorite cashier was Willa Loose, front end supervisor was Jim Miller. Was promoted to stocker and Jim Fertig was my supervisor and then would get off work late at night and if it snowed, would get going in my Volkswagen and then would pull the emergency break and hang-on as it would spin u-turns.
