Fonner Park Horse Wreck

(GRAND ISLAND, Neb.) — A three horse wreck during a race at Grand Island’s Fowler Park leaves three hospitalized and one horse dead.

A heartbreaking update on the other horses involved in the wreck leaves total at 3 horses dead and 4 humans injured.

The wreck happened at the 25 second mark in the video on the back side of the track.

Our preliminary report indicates that three horses collided at Fonner Park during race #8 on Sunday.

We are told that three jockeys were transported by ambulance and one horse is deceased.
