(SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.) — Witnesses indicated fire trucks at the Hampton Inn Tuesday night, including Scottsbluff’s newest rig.
Since all local fire departments went encrypted on their public scanner, we have to rely on eyewitness reports instead of getting it directly from the officials.
The ‘official media’ put out a premature report that said there was no suspected fire, just a room they had to ‘fan out’.
Since the Hampton Inn serves as the Panhandle Scanner’s Official Hotel and Conference Center, we will be sure to get the story for you directly from the owner on what exactly happened to cause all the smoke that officials reportedly claimed had ‘no suspected fire’.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
