RECORD BREAKING WIND SPEEDS

415pm UPDATE: Cheyenne, WY Airport has a new maximum wind gust of 79mph…please take the wind headlines seriously. We will see very strong wind gusts for quite a while longer.

4/6: 345pm-As promised…err…forecast it’s very windy outside due to the strong weather system evolving across our forecast area. Here is a snapshot of some of the highest wind gusts through approximately 330pm MDT.

The strongest wind gusts in the wind prone corridors, and where High Wind Warnings remain present are yet to come. Expect the strongest wind gusts to occur late this evening through daybreak Sunday. #wywx #newx
