Pine Bluffs Backup

(PINE BLUFFS, Wyo.) — Pine Bluffs took the brunt of the backup traffic near the state line on I-80 due to closures. Here’s a message from the Sherrif.

Good morning, Pine Bluffs,

As you wake up this morning, you will notice an overwhelming amount of Semi Trucks parked in town. We have done our best to manage this overflow and understand it doesn’t look pretty where some have parked. However, at this time, with the Nebraska line / I-80 and HWY30 down due to wind and snow, we are at full capacity and do not have anywhere else for them to move to.

Also, A large tree has fallen blocking most of Main and 6th. I ask that vehicle traffic avoid the intersection or maneuver around the tree with caution. Crews will be working to remove the tree from the roadway as soon as safely possible.
