Attempted Murder?

From Platte Valley Media

(GRAND ISLAND, Neb.) – A series of felonies are being brought against a woman for an alleged attempted killing of an employee at a Grand Island pharmacy last Friday, April 5th.

Hodan Farah reportedly left U Save Pharmacy near Fourth and Walnut streets upset with the employees around 4:15 p.m. Approximately 30 minutes later, she allegedly called an employee and threatened to choke her to death.

Authorities were informed by a suicide hotline that Farah was expressing suicidal and homicidal intentions and was heading to the pharmacy to harm an employee. Police arrived at the scene to investigate and encountered Farah parking an SUV in front of the building. She was seen wielding a kitchen knife while attempting to enter the building, prompting employees to lock the doors.

Despite officers’ attempts to persuade her to drop the knife, Farah returned to her vehicle, where officers broke the driver’s side window to remove her. She was subsequently arrested on suspicion of various charges, including attempted first-degree murder and making terroristic threats.
