Do you know how to spot child abuse or neglect? Although this is by no means an exhaustive list, knowing the signs of a child who may be a victim of abuse is key to ensuring their safety.

Potential Signs of Abuse
- Changes in behavior – such as aggression, anger, hostility, or hyperactivity – or changes in school performance
- Sexual behavior or knowledge that’s inappropriate for the child’s age
- Injuries that don’t match the given explanation
- Inappropriate sexual behavior with other children
- Frequent absences from school
- Poor personal cleanliness
- Hoarding or stealing food
