The Freddy McKinney Story
By Brian Hale, Panhandle Scanner
We track deadly storms, and we wondered if anyone was in the path of this twister that just sat there for probably ‘fifteen minutes’.

We were both saddened and relieved to find this news posted on facebook.
We have been blessed with an outpouring of people wanting to help! Thank you so much for it all!
We want to make sure all of the needs are being met and they are not overwhelmed.
Please only donate to places that you know for sure are going to Kasey Lambert and Wes Lambert. People will take advantage of situations like this! I have attached Kasey’s venmo. We will also be setting up an account to donate to and posting information about what they still need and what will be most beneficial.

My mother, Kathy Williams Moore, posted this!! God, thank you for not taking my family!
You see it on the news all the time, but you never expect it to happen to your own family. Last night’s tornado destroyed my daughter and son-in-law’s (Kasey & Wes Lambert) home in Hawley. They and their two children were in the house when the tornado hit.
A storm chaser that witnessed the house being demolished rescued them and took them to the hospital. They are cut, bruised, and sore but grateful for the multitude of people who hit their knees in prayer and came to their rescue. Please continue to pray for them as they wake this morning and begin the process of putting things back together.
Prayers of thanksgiving for the storm chaser who acted without hesitation.
Prayers of thanksgiving for the amazing medical team at Hendrick Medical Center, who truly ministered to my family during this crisis.
Prayers of thanksgiving for the ministers and Christian family at Pioneer Drive and Hillcrest Church of Christ who attended to our immediate needs. We will forever be indebted to them.
Most of all, we thank Him for sparing the lives of these precious people.

We have not confirmed whether or not the following stormchaser was the one that helped the Lambert family, but here is yet another story of storm chaser rescue.
Stormchaser Rescue Efforts
“Incredible heroic actions by veteran storm chaser @FreddyMcKinney for saving the lives of a family and dodging a #tornado while driving injured family to the hospital,” Reed Timmer Extreme Meteorologist.
The young Shelby, Nebraska man chases “water and vapor,” according to his social media. He “drives around the country to look at clouds!” And now he can add “saves people,” to his list. While in (Hawley) Texas chasing a tornado, an injured family was grateful to see him drive up. He stopped what he was doing and delivered them safely to a hospital to be treated for injuries they got when their home was leveled.

GoFundMe Setup
Storm Chaser Ryan Hall recently donated $10,000 to the family via the gofundme account setup by cousin Bradye.
He writes, “Hi, my name is Bradye McQueen and I am helping coordinate the recovery for my cousin and her family. Wes & Kasey Lambert, and their kids Lane and Allie. They will need funds to help in the transition and rebuilding their lives and covering ER bills.”
