Semi Accident Hwy 26

UPDATE : We are relieved to report that the driver of the semi that was overturned near Minatare on Friday left the hospital today and is back in Wyoming.

Scott Blanton, owner of the diesel shop and trucking company where TowMater and Lightning McQueen reside, had a couple men from the sellers outfit in Wyoming stop in for directions to the sale barn. They were in town to pick up dad (the injured semi driver) and their 4 injured cows.

Unfortunately, they did lose one cow, but looking at the photos, we can all be quite thankful.

We continue to pray for safety for everyone out there on the roads and are very thankful for the interactions that we get from the people involved in the things that we post.

We believe this appreciation shown by the very people involved is ample justification for the posts that we make.

I am the daughter of the cattle pot driver in last night’s accident. I would appreciate if you could post on your page that my dad is doing well, was released from the hospital today, and we are headed back to Wyoming. We only lost 1 cow. My family would like to thank everyone that helped him and our cattle. God is good!!

We asked Misty what would happen to the cattle now. She said the 4 are headed back to their ranch in Ten Sleep, Wyoming to heal. The others are headed on to Ogallala, Nebraska to their new home.

We also want to give you some details on the direction of travel that we learned from witnesses at the scene.

The cattle hauler, driven by the injured semi driver, was headed east on Highway 26 when the northbound commodities truck turned left onto Hwy 26 heading West and was struck near his tail end sending cargo across the impact area.

Airlink was called out for the driver of the loaded cattle truck and was taken to the hospital.

The loaded cattle hauler overturned on the highway, resulting in a scene that was not cleared until way after dark.

Again we are thankful for the outcome and appreciate those who do not jump to conclusions during an active incident.

The nature of scanner traffic and incident reporting is that it is ever changing and fluid. Please stay calm, do not panic, and trust that we understand the ethics and legalities of posting media content.

(MINATARE, Neb.) —  Eyewitnesses on scene report what appears to be a two semi accident. One with a load of cows about 1/2 mile west of Minatare Hwy 26.

At this point, we have no information to confirm. We simply know there was an accident with two semi’s involved, that’s all. Please pray for everyone involved.
