(SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.) — Scottsbluff Rural Fire Department responded to a fire north of Scottsbluff Friday afternoon.
At approximately 3:21 p.m., Scottsbluff Rural was dispatched to reports of heavy smoke in the area of County Road 26 and Seagull Road.

Upon arrival, the fire was found to be just inside Minatare’s Fire District, so they were notified to respond.

Several tree stumps, grass, a small ditch, hay bales, and fence posts were on fire when the first unit arrived.

Gering was mutual aided for a Type 6 and Tender. All units cleared shortly before 5:00 p.m.
