Torrington Training Event

(TORRINGTON, Wyo.) — On Tuesday, July 23rd, and Wednesday, July 24th, the Torrington Police Department hosted a regional training event at Eastern Wyoming College focused on law enforcement response to an active threat in an educational setting.

There was significant Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS presence at Eastern Wyoming College on both training dates.

The law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMS staff at the campus engaged in multiple reality-based scenarios intended to simulate an active threat in an indoor and outdoor environment.

Through coordination with our partners at Eastern Wyoming College, the west side of the campus, between the Tebbet Building and Lancer Hall, was closed to the public during the training.  The campus otherwise remained open for regular summer business.
