More police patrol is being requested, not only on 27th Street, where there was a near-fatal accident recently, but in several different parts of town. Check the post on our Facebook page about that request for more police patrol.
There was a possible hit and run on I-80. Scanner traffic indicated a hit and run at the 117 mile marker on I-80 westbound involving a white semi-pulling a white reefer trailer. Plate number 512-8560, state unknown. Please report if you have seen this vehicle.
Five Rocks Road, MVA. Scanner traffic indicated a possible motor vehicle accident with possible injury on 5 Rocks Road and gearing. Around the same time that an intoxicated male at Chilis kept going in and out of consciousness. Employees called to get him checked out, and at that same moment they were having power outages in the Mitchell Valley area according to Roosevelt Public Power District, and simultaneously a grass fire broke out. Sugar Factory Road and County Road D, actually closer to County Road C according to users, and it was approaching a nearby house. Mutual aid was requested with Type 6 tankers needed. Scottsbluff Rural and Minatare Melbeta Fire Department responded.
And there was a possible drug overdose. Scanner traffic indicated a possible methamphetamine overdose on 17th Avenue.
