(SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.) — “Training is best when we’re able to sharpen our skills while we strengthen bonds with others who choose to serve the public,” according to the Scottsbluff Fire Department in a recent post.
From Scottsbluff Fire Department
On Monday, August 26, 2024, the Scottsbluff Fire Department trained on basic and advanced extrication techniques. The training was planned, taught, and executed all by Scottsbluff Firefighters!
Vehicle extrication is an important skill for firefighters when citizens may be trapped in their vehicles after a significant accident. In those moments, time is of the essence and we pride ourselves on being ready to perform at a high level at all times.
We were able to partner with local EMS agencies who worked on their EMS skills while we extricated our “patients.” Training is best when we’re able to sharpen our skills while we strengthen bonds with others who choose to serve the public.
Thank you to Rich’s Towing for donating the vehicles for our members to learn and train on! And thank you to Regional West EMS and Air Link at Regional West for joining us!
