(ALLIANCE, Neb.) — The Alliance Nebraska Police Department took a moment to remind everyone about safety on this highly anticipated day of Husker football.
This advice from their department is directed to Alliance but it’s good advice for everyone across the state.

🏈 Cornhusker Football is Back, Baby! 🏈
Attention, Alliance! The moment we’ve all been waiting for—college football season is finally here! Today, our mighty Nebraska Cornhuskers are ready to charge onto the field and tackle UTEP. Let’s hope the only thing getting crushed is their defense!
As you gear up for the game, here are a few tips to make sure your game day is as smooth as a Husker touchdown:
Drive Sober: If you’re planning to enjoy a few victory brews, make sure you’ve got a designated driver. Remember, drinking and driving is more of a fumble than a touchdown.
Respect Your Neighbors: We love your enthusiasm, but please remember that not everyone lives and breathes football (we know, shocking!). Keep the noise to a respectful roar—save the touchdown screams for when you’re inside the house, and maybe not at 3 a.m.
Stay Safe: Keep an eye out for anything suspicious that’s not in the playbook. If you see something that makes you go, “What in the Husker Nation is that?” give us a call.
Let’s kick off this season with big plays, bigger laughs, and the biggest community spirit! Go Big Red—bring home the W! 🌽🏟️
