(COLUMBUS, Neb.) — A high-speed pursuit occurred through Columbus late Wednesday night (early Thursday), resulting in a motorcycle crash with injury.

Late Night Pursuit Information 9-4-24
1:20AM – PCSO attempting a traffic stop with a motorcycle that is Northbound on 33rd Ave and 8th St.
1:21AM – Motorcycle is taking off. Speeds 80 MPH. In pursuit. Just ran a red light. Going past 23rd St going northbound still. Reason for stop was for speeding.
1:23AM – A bunch of stuff just fell off the motorcycle. Now west on 66th St.
1:25AM – Motorcycle has crashed. Will need medical.
1:26AM – Columbus Rescue needed to 33rd Ave and 66th St for a motor vehicle accident with injury.
1:29AM – Result of a pursuit with a Platte County Deputy – Motorcyclist dumped his bike. Has some scrapes. Meth was located.
1:53AM – En route to jail with one male in custody.
