UPDATE – Crews are expecting to achieve 100% containment by Friday. No lives were lost due to the hard work and cooperation of all the departments that came together to fight this fire. 35,000 acres were burned as well as 5 homes and 31 outbuildings.

(RECLUSE, Wyo.) – Yoder Volunteer Fire Department has engine crews in two Wyoming locations and in California and still plenty of trucks at home. The grants they wrote over the past five years has allowed them to grow so they can go where needed. Yoder Fire Department has 24 highly trained volunteers with the most fire certifications in the State of Wyoming among volunteer departments.

Yoder, Brush 31, with a 3 person crew pulled an all-nighter (and is still at it) on the Short Draw Fire near Recluse, WY. Brush 52 and a two man crew is working on the West Warm Springs Fire near Thermopolis . LaGrange and Lingle FDs also sent equipment and crews from Goshen County.

The Yoder Volunteer Fire Department’s Brush 61 crew recently traveled to San Bernardino, California to battle the Line Fire which was more than 20,000 acres in size and 3 percent contained on Monday, according to Inciweb.
