Homes Lost in Fire

(GILLETTE, Wyo.) – Crews are expecting to achieve 100% containment of the Short Draw Fire near Gillette by Friday. No lives were lost due to the hard work and cooperation of all the departments that came together to fight this fire. 35,000 acres were burned as well as 5 homes and 31 outbuildings.

One of the families who lost everything is Jesse and Cheyenne Raymond of Gillette, WY. Jesse and Cheyenne, along with their 3 kids, Izzy (12), Bubba (9), and Levi (7), lost their home and all their possessions to a wildfire north of Gillette, Wyoming, on Sept 12th.

The Raymond Family could use some help rebuilding after the devestating loss.

Bubba age 9 has duchenne muscular dystrophy, and autism. He lost his cough assist, his leg splints and his bath lift in the fire.

He has regular 6 months visits to Denver for the study of his disease and is permanently confined to a wheel chair. Jesse and Cheyenne just got done building his wheel chair ramp last month and invested all of their savings into it and lost it also in the fire.

They have lost all possessions due to this very unfortunate event and could use your help to rebuild. There is a GoFundMe account setup to help the Raymond family rebuild.
