(SIDNEY, Neb.) — On Wednesday, September 25th, at approximately 4:40 p.m., a citizen brought a suspicious letter to the Sidney Police Station at 1200 Pole Creek Crossing.
The concerned citizen received the letter on Monday and immediately placed the letter into a ziplock bag. The letter originated from overseas and was screened by US Customs.
The letter contained a single blank sheet of paper with an orange smudge on it. The Sidney Police Department contacted the Sidney Fire Department, who ensured no life or environmental dangers were present.
The Sidney Police Department thanks the citizen and the Sidney Fire Department for their actions.
