(GERING, Neb.) — Area residents and visitors will not be able to honk their horn in three popular places in the county, for at least a day.
The Scottsbluff National Monument announced that there will be safety inspections on the tunnels taking place at least on the 8th. Here’s more.
From Scotts Bluff National Monument
The biannual safety inspections of the three tunnels along the Scotts Bluff Summit Road are scheduled to take place on October 8th and October 9th (if necessary) from 08:00AM to 12:00PM. During this time, Summit Road will be CLOSED to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. This will be necessary to provide a safe work environment for our inspectors and to keep our visitors safe in these work zones.
These inspections are crucial to ensure the safety and well-being of many visitors, as well as preserving these crucial pieces of our infrastructure at the Monument. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
