(SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.) — Press Release from the Scottsbluff Police Department

On Friday October 4, 2024 at 3:03 PM Scottsbluff Police were notified of a vehicle versus bicycle crash with injuries at the intersection of 5th Ave and East 26th Street.

Investigation showed that a silver 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup driven by Juan Gonzales Juarez, age 58 of Scottsbluff, was south bound on 5th Ave crossing E 26th St. At the same time a bicycle ridden by Samantha White Hawk, age 22 of Scottsbluff, was west bound on East 26th St crossing 5th Ave. White Hawk ran into the driver’s side of the pickup. White Hawk was transported from the scene by Regional West Ambulance.

White Hawk was issued a citation for failure to stop for a stop sign. Scottsbluff Police were assisted by Scottsbluff Fire Department, Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, and Regional West ambulance.


Samantha’s mother-in-law, Violet Arriaga informed the scanner that she broke her leg in 2 places and has fractures to her face. She is in the hospital recovering. Please pray for her healing.
