🚨 Juvenile Rescued After Pursuit 🚨
(RAWLINS, Wyo.) — A 13-year-old missing juvenile was safely rescued following a vehicle pursuit initiated by the WHP just outside of Rawlins. The suspect, who attempted to flee with the juvenile, is now in custody.
Yesterday morning, a WHP State Trooper located a vehicle associated with a missing juvenile report from the Meade County Sheriff’s Office of South Dakota. Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver initially complied but then fled the scene, attempting to escape with the 13-year-old girl. The Trooper immediately pursued the suspect vehicle.
The Trooper successfully performed a tactical vehicle intervention, disabling the vehicle and bringing the pursuit to a safe conclusion. The juvenile was rescued without injury, and the driver was taken into custody. The suspect faces several charges including kidnapping, reckless driving, and eluding, and also had multiple outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest.
