(KIMBALL, Neb.) — On November 6, 2024 Kimball EMS, Kimball County Sheriff’s Office, Air Link, New Raymer Fire Department and EMS, Weld County Sheriffs Office and Colorado State Patrol responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 71 south of the Nebraska state line.
Due to weather conditions, Airlink met Kimball EMS at Oliver Reservoir, where they could land. The airport and the hospital helipad weren’t a feisable option due to weather conditions and low cloud ceiling conditions. The helicopter pilot made the determination that the weather was more favorable at the lake for a safe landing. The single occupant of the vehicle was life flighted.
