Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

(TORRINGTON, Wyo.) — The Torrington Volunteer Fire Department has a special message for everyone after a recent call involving carbon monoxide.

TVFD responded to a carbon monoxide alarm that was activated this evening at around 1700 hours. There was no carbon monoxide detected in the house and it was determined the CO detector was out of date. Command, Engine 6 and 6 firefighters responded.

TVFD would like to remind our followers and citizens to check the manufacturer dates of not only your smoke detectors but your CO detectors as well. If your detector hasn’t been replaced in the last 7 years it’s highly recommended that you add that to your next shopping list!
