(SIDNEY, Neb.) — Early this morning, around 1:30 AM, Sidney Police Department officers were conducting routine traffic enforcement when they observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. Upon attempting to initiate a traffic stop, the driver fled the scene, prompting a brief vehicle pursuit.
The pursuit concluded when the fleeing vehicle collided with a curb near the 13th Street bridge, rendering it inoperable. The driver then attempted to evade officers on foot but was apprehended. The suspect is currently in custody at the Cheyenne County Jail.
