Window Tinting Regulations

(NORTH PLATTE, Neb.) — Tinted windows can help to extend the life of your interior. Protecting your upholstery from discoloration will keep your car looking great longer. They also reduce glare and provide UV protection, but there are laws in place for the safety of you and other drivers.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office shared a post to clarify the window tinting statutes currently on the books in Nebraska.

If you have any questions about your tint, contact LCSO and we will check your vehicle and tell you whether you are in compliance with the statute or not. No enforcement action will be taken if you are asking questions.
