Charged, Bonded Out

(GRANT COUNTY, Neb.) — 75-year-old Duane Meester is facing charges in Grant County, Nebraska for allegedly shooting a friend after a night of drinking.

He has bailed out (10% of $500,000) but he is charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony, First Degree Assault, and Attempted Manslaughter.


Meester is accused of pulling a gun from the couch, pistol whipping his friend, and then shooting him. The man was transported to Alliance by ambulance and later air lifted to Regional West in Scottsbluff.
