Sioux County Rollover

UPDATE from Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department

Yesterday, August 11th, at approximately 1:47p.m. Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a one vehicle rollover near mile marker 77 on Hwy 71.

The vehicle was also towing a camper which was destroyed in the accident.

When crews arrived it was determined that all occupants safely exited the vehicle with only minor injuries. MVFD responded with three trucks and nine personnel. Thank you to Scottsbluff Fire Department for responding but was cancelled after it was determined no extrication was needed. The Nebraska State Patrol and Regional West Ambulance Service were also on scene.

Scanner traffic indicated a single vehicle accident on HWY 71, MM 77, unknown of injuries, we will be updating as information becomes available.

1:54 p.m. Individuals are trying to escape the vehicle, vehicle has rolled over with possible entrapment.

1:59 p.m. Tower 1 Via Scottsbluff Fire has been paged to assist with this rollover.

2:04 p.m. The vehicle rolled over had a camper hooked up to it, which is now in about eight pieces. Trooper indicated they will need two tow trucks.

2:05 p.m. All patients are OK & Breathing.

2:11 p.m. Airlink has cancelled ground standby

2:14 p.m. No Patient Transport
