Family Home Lost To Fire

(SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.) — Yesterday afternoon another family lost their home near 42nd Street in North Scottsbluff. We are thankful that no one was hurt.

At 3:53pm on 9/13/25, Scottsbluff Rural Fire Protection District was dispatched to a structure fire at the Northside Mobile Home Park. Upon arrival of command, approximately 25% of the trailer home was involved. A quick knock down was made on the fire by the first in engine, minimizing the damage to the contents.

Mitchell Fire department was mutual aided for a tanker. The State Fire Marshal was called in to determine the cause of the fire, which was determined to be electrical. All units cleared the scene at 7:23 pm.

All occupants were able to safely exit the home. We would like to acknowledge the teenager of the home for his bravery in getting everyone out safely!
