Denver Flight Hits Balloon

Jet hits weather balloon, Pilot injured

(SALT LAKE CITY, Utah) — We all understand that the airways are crowded, and airplanes are carefully regulated by air traffic controllers. But one pilot got a surprise and was injured in an unexpected collision with a foreign object in the skies.

According to Tornado Tacklers on Facebook, “United Airlines flight from Denver to Los Angeles was forced to make an emergency landing in Salt Lake City last week after an object hit its windshield at 36,000 feet. The impact cracked the glass and injured one of the pilots, according to the airline and officials.”

They also stated that a California-based weather technology company stepped forward to claim responsibility.
